Mr. William Robert Hendren, 72, of Sebring, died August 20, 2020 at his home. Billy was born March 14, 1948 in Bridgeport, CT to William W. and Jean (Siemers) Hendren. He served in the US Navy. He retired after 30 plus years as a manager having worked for Bell South and AT & T. While raising his boys he lived in the Miramar, FL area where he coached football, baseball and soccer. Billy had served several terms as President of the Miramar Optimist Club. Billy also know as “Top Hat” was a member of the Alternative Motorcycle Club and a friend of Bill W’s. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; sons, Robert (Pristy) Hendren and Jason (Carol) Hendren, Derek (Katie) Barrows and Andrew (Emily) Barrows; sister, Susan Dean; brother Kenneth (Marianne) Hendren; grandchildren, Joseph and Josh Hendren, Harper and Remington Barrows and Cooper, Samuel and Charlotte Barrows; nieces and nephews, Jacob (Abigayil) Dean, Nolan (Angela Cohen) Hendren, Lauren (Kevin) Murphy, Meredith (Jason) Walter; great nieces and nephews, Quinn (Brennan) Murphy and Maris Walter.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 2:00 pm at The Last House on the Block, Sebring, FL.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 10:30 am at the Ft. Lauderdale Police Association.
Billy will be inurned at South Florida National Cemetery.
