Richard D. Miller, 95, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2024 at the Good Shepherd
Hospice House in Sebring FL.
Born September 12, 1929 to Harry and Sara Miller in State College, Pennsylvania, Dick traveled
the world with his wife Evelyn during his career in the Army. After fighting in the Korean War he
was stationed in many places, including Okinawa and Germany. They retired in Sebring in 1980.
Dick was preceded in death by his wife on November 1, 2007, son-in-law George Summerville
and daughter Vicky (Dennis) Lyons. He is survived by daughters Susan (Dennis) Summerville and
Virginia Miller, son-in-law John Lyons, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Dick will be remembered as a dedicated member of the Masonic Lodge for almost 60 years. He
was a member of Sebring Lodge No. 249 and Poinciana Lodge No. 227 as well as the Tampa
Scottish Rite, KCCH and the South Central Florida Chapter MOAA.
Please join us for a Masonic memorial service which will be held at the Fountain Funeral Home
in Avon Park on Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 4-6 P.M. Dick will later be laid to rest
beside Evelyn in St. College, Pennsylvania.
