Larry Gene Brock

Larry Gene Brock, 74, of Sebring, Florida, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2025.

Larry was born on January 18, 1951, in East Prairie, Missouri, to Melvin and Bessie Brock. Raised with strong values and a deep love for family, Larry carried those principles throughout his life, touching the hearts of everyone who knew him.

Larry found joy in the simple things—sharing stories, lending a helping hand, and spending time with family and friends.

Larry is survived by his mother, Bessie Brock of Avon Park, FL; his son, Bobby Brock of Sebring, FL; daughters, Barbara Brock of Sebring, FL, and Laurie (Charles) Howard of Marion, IL; brothers, Ronnie (Jane) Brock of Bryant, AL and Kevin (Amanda) Brock of Avon Park, FL; sisters, Patricia (Jim) Frazier of Avon Park, FL, Janet Stephenson of Sebring, FL, and Peggy Vines of Avon Park, FL; granddaughters, Sarah and Gracie Brock, Airel Brown of Sebring, FL and Allyssa Howard of Marion, IL; grandsons, Conner and David Howard of Goreville, IL, and Charles Howard Jr. of Herrin, IL; great-granddaughter, Blair Smith of Herrin, IL; his long-time significant other, Brenda Rivers of Avon Park, FL, her children and grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Brock; his grandparents Clark and Mae Brock & Jim & Leona Buttrey; his brother, Richie Brock; his sisters, Shelia Brock and Melvina Brock; his brother-in-law, Perry Vines; and his former wife, Darlene Brock McCourt.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Fountain Funeral Home in Avon Park, Florida, where friends and family will gather to honor his life, share memories, and celebrate the love he gave so freely.

Larry will be deeply missed, but his warmth, wisdom, and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
