Mr. George “Danny” Daniel Lanier age 68 of Sebring, Florida passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024. Born on February 22, 1956, in Lakeland, Florida, he was the loving son of the late George Lanier Jr. and the late Betty Jane Ogle Lanier.
Danny, as he was lovingly known, was a graduate of Frostproof High School in Frostproof, Florida in 1974. Not only was Danny the 1974 Quarterback who led the Frostproof Bulldogs to win their first ever State Championship, he was also an avid bowler. His passion for bowling led him to his career with Kegel Bowling Center, he was also employed with Lowe’s in Sebring, Florida.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Laura Mae Cundiff.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved life partner of 30 years, Pam Cross of Sebring, Florida; son, Jamie Lanier and wife, Angelique of Youngsville, North Carolina; daughter Jeannie Flick and husband, Brian of Bunnlevel, North Carolina; daughter Nikki Fudge and husband Brian of Rocky Mount, North Carolina; son Mark Lanier and wife, Jen of Wilmington, North Carolina; sister, Connie Emlyn of Florida; sister Alberta Devault of Indiana; along with his Eleven Grandchildren, and Four Great-Grandsons; and many other loving family and friends.
Danny will be fondly remembered as a loving partner, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend who will be greatly missed. He will be laid to rest in a private ceremony with his family.
