Edward Parks Obituary

Edward L. Parks, 76, of Avon Park, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2019 in Polk County. A native of Memphis, Tennessee he had lived in this area for 18 years coming from Wilmington, IL He was a retired Post Master. He played bass with his brother, Charles, in the band, Rockin' Rebels in Illinois. Golfing, fishing, going to the races were past times favorites, along with his love of dogs, especially his dog Brandy.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles B and Ruth L (Archer) Parks and sister, Vicki Parks.  He is survived by his wife,  Joanne; three children, Tom Parks, Lynda (Russell) Bremmer and Laura Parks; brother, Charles F. Parks; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 12, 2019 at 4 p.m. at St. John's Methodist Church, Sebring, FL.  Donation may be made to the United Methodist Children's Home, 33631 Grand Prix Dr., Sebring, FL 33872
