Damaris Elaine (Halvorsen) Ashton

Damaris Elaine Halvorsen Ashton, was born November 16, 1945 to Don and Donna Halvorsen in Allegin, Michigan.  She was the first of three children.  She attended grade school in Michigan then the family moved to Florida for her high school years and she attended college in Tennessee.

She married Jim Ashton on February 14, 1998 and was happily married for 27 years.  They spent many years as snow birds in Ohio and Florida, then moved to Florida permanently the last several years.  Damaris passed away on May 9, 2025 in Sebring, FL. 

She was proceeded in death by her parents, Don and Donna Halvorsen.  She is survived by her husband, Jim Ashton; sister, Dixie and husband Pastor Bill Strong, sister, Dorisann and husband Ray Brandt; children Darren Koobs and wife Sherri, Debbie Gearhart, Doug Koobs and wife Oahn and Albert Douglas; step children, Phil and wife Leesa and Tod and wife Vickie; nieces, Shari Baker, Karin Small and Erica Peterson; grandchildren, Jessica, Tiffany, Giovani, Arielle and step grandchildren Abby, Ben and Rebecca; and five great grand kids.
