Arlene Janice Williams, 74, known by everyone as "Birdie" passed away Wednesday, September 24th in Wauchula. Birdie was born on January 19, 1951, in Ohsweken, Ontario into the Lower Cayuga Tribe of the Six Nations of the Grand River. She was the daughter of the late Irene Styres and Grant Williams. Her family moved to Wauchula in 1958. She worked several jobs; her favorite was working with Carla and the women at Beall's. It was the perfect fit, because of her love for people. She was preceded in death by her brother, Elwood "Woodie" Leonard Williams, and her beloved grandson, London Alexis Knight Caldwell.
She is survived by her daughters and sons by love, Tina and Dean Caldwell of Jenson, Michigan, Michelle and Binky Graham of Wauchula; her son, Andrew and Janie Chancellor of Indiana, her grandsons and granddaughters by love, Blake and Madi, Hunter and Kaylee, Cooper Graham all of Wauchula; her sister Joyce Miller of Wauchula.
Celebration of Life for Birdie will be held Friday, October 10th at 5:30 PM at New Hope Baptist Church, 1999 State Road 64, Wauchula, FL 33873.
