Walter Frederick Kirst, 79, of Avon Park, died Tuesday afternoon, February 15, 2022 at Bay Care Hospital Winter Haven.  A native of Long Island, New York he had lived in this area since 1993 moving at that time from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.  Walter was born November 1, 1942 to George and Bertha (Henningborn) Kirst.  He was a active member of the Avon Park Seventh Day Adventist Church.  He worked for all of the hospitals in this area as an X-Ray Technician.  He was a dependable, hard worker who loved his profession.  Walter loved people, his family and friends and Jesus.  He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Gomez and her husband, Santiago; step-son, Rick Beatey; two grandsons, Anthony and David Gomez; and nieces and nephews.
