Viola Marie Hogan, 87, of Avon Park, passed away Friday morning, June 29, 2018 at the Oaks at Avon.  A native of Napoli, New York she had moved to Avon Park from Thomaston, Georgia.  Born May 21, 1931, Viola, was the daughter of German immigrants, Carl and Wanda (Dietchlander) Hensel.  She loved to sew and loved to go on walks.  She was preceded in death by her husband, John Thomas Hogan, sister, Irene G. Winship and son, Bruce Hogan.  She is survived by 8 children, Brenda Burgard, Linda (Roy) Smith, Tonna (Robbie) Edge, Thomas (Debbie) Hogan, Edward R. Hogan, Karen (John) Edge, Christopher (Judy) Hogan and Darryl (Eva) Hogan; sister, Inez J. Domes; 17 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
