Louise L. Green, 91, of Avon Park, died Friday night, July 15, 2022 at her home.  She has lived in Avon Park since 1949 coming from Arcadia, FL.  She was a Title 1 Teacher and active member of Florida Avenue Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School.  Louise enjoyed sewing, ceramics and traveling.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, William Melvin Green in 2020; her parents, David and Artie (Rigdon) Lock; 3 sisters, Minnie, Hazel and Betty and brother, David.  She is survived by her children, Cindy (Kyle) Downs, Holly Green and William Melvin (Fay) Green II; brother - in - law, Miles Green; 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 4 great - great grandchildren.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Florida Avenue Baptist Church with interment following in Bougainvillea Cemetery.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM at the church.
