James C. Thompson, passed away in Avon Park, Florida, July 2, 2018 at his home.  Born in Cambridge, Ohio, February 19, 1938 to James A. and Marie Thompson.  He was a graduate of Ohio University and Ohio State University.  James was a practicing Attorney for 50 years, Reynolds Safety Director, President of Council, Law Director, City of Groveport, 1966-2000, Grand Knight of K of C, President OSU Young Democrats 1960, Commodore of Buckeye Lake Yacht Club.  He is survived by wife, Rebecca, sons, Matthew, Daniel (Jennifer), Patrick (Angie) and Timothy (Laurie) Thompson; stepsons, Kevin, Brian (Theresa) and Timothy Stroup; grandchildren, Matthew, Rachel, Helena, Noah, Joel, Andrew and Kyle Thompson, Zachary Van Horn, Jessica Stroup Erb and Joseph Stroup; sister, Jacqueline (Bill) Westwood.  A celebration of Jim's life will be held at the Buckeye Lake Yacht Club on August 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.
