Frank Allen Cunningham, 80, of Frostproof died Thursday morning on April 29 at home home surrounded by his family. He was born on October 2, 1940, to Floyd Samuel and Alliene Roxy Cunningham of Corydon, Indiana.

He was a 1958 graduate of Corydon central High School. Also, that same year, he gained his horology license from Cunningham's Horology School, which was owned by his father. Being the youngest in the state of Indiana to achieve his watchmaker license, he then went on to run the Cunningham Horology School when his father fell ill in 1958. He and his brother Fred partnered together to run the Dream Theatre in Corydon in October of 1959, they also teamed up to run a local pool room. In 1961 he served in the US Army as a cryptologist during the Vietnam era. He started work with the US Department of Agriculture in 1964 and traveled to multiple states. Inspecting various types of products ranging from Christmas trees to peanuts, fruits and vegetables. In 1969, he married Patricia Jane Hartman in New Albany, Indiana. Then along with his wife Patricia and son Rick they moved to central Florida. In 1970 he began his work with the Florida Department of Agriculture working with the fruit and vegetable division. He retired in 2003 from the FDA from being a State Inspector and Pre-crop Estimator.

He is preceded in death by his brother Joe Alan Cunningham. He is Survived by his wife Patricia of 51 years, his son Rick( Shana), his daughter Michelle (Steve), his two grandchildren, Travis (Moriah) and Randy. He also left behind his sister, Dorothy Kay Lemon, and his remaining brothers, John Albert Cunningham, Fred J. Cunningham, Floyd Samuel Cunningham, James Edward Cunningham and numerous nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 10:00 am at the Fountain Funeral Home in Avon Park, Florida, with a funeral Service following at 11:00 am. Interment will be at the Silver Hill Cemetery in Frostproof, Florida.
