Dolores, 83 was carried to Heaven peacefully in her sleep Monday, May 24th, 2021. Hailing from Miami, to Deland, and then with her daughter's family to Sebring then Lake Wales, people would say Dolores was unlike anyone else you would ever meet. A beautician by trade, Dolores enjoyed fashion and beauty, and was very involved in beauty pageantry during her time in Miami. In her later years, she found joy in painting and crafting, often giving her creations to her family members, undoubtedly including some type of bedazzled element. She also loved puzzles and anything pink, purple or sparkly. With the confidence, sass and glamour of a movie star, she was known as "Diva" or "Queenie"and much beloved by the staff members who cared for her. A social butterfly, she was a member of welcoming committees for new residents of the facilities she resided in. And whenever getting to know her, the topic of conversation would undoubtedly be about those closest to her. Nothing would bring a smile to her face more than bragging about her family. A very fun, zany and creative grandmother (Mimi), happy memories of the million times they watched The Lion King and ate "eyeballs and puppy dog tail soup" in the Florida room for lunch will forever be cherished. While the Covid-19 pandemic kept them apart for more than a year, God brought them together for her granddaughter's recent December wedding, and as lockdown restrictions eased, it allowed her daughter Suezette to resume their visits. The family will always treasure their special memories and are grateful Dolores is no longer suffering and is happy, healthy, and laughing in heaven.
