Today we remember a truly remarkable woman Jirapa “DJ” Northcutt; affectionately known to many as Miss DJ or Momma. She took God’s hand and took her final motorcycle ride along the waterfront on August 18, 2026. She is survived by her husband, two sons, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter. She had a loving heart and genuine kindness that touched everyone that was fortunate to know her. She was a devoted teacher who poured her love into every child she met. They were a part of her heart; she believed in all of them, encouraged them and made them feel special.
DJ had an affection for all things Disney. She believed in happy endings and treasured the little moments. Her laughter was contagious, her smile lit up every room she entered and her heart was made of gold. DJ loved deeply gave freely with no expectations in return. Her favorite activities were being a passenger princess either in a car or the back of a motorcycle. She loved Thai food especially Thai tea with boba. She loved any kind of music; her favorite was K-POP. She loved taking pictures and capturing every moment.
Though our hearts are broken, we will carry her memory forever. Please keep her in your prayers. There will be a celebration of life in September for anyone wishing to come and share their favorite story of her with family and friends. There will also be a scholarship created in her memory for art and elementary education.
