Brenda Deloris Welch, 69, of Sebring, passed away Saturday morning, May 23, 2020 at Highlands Regional Medical Center.  She was born and raised here and the daughter of Theodore and Lillie Mae (Evans) Gibbs.  Brenda was an educator and worked as an ESE teacher at Lake Country Elementary School.  She was a member of Greater Dimension C.O.G.I.C. where she was a Mother of the Church, part of the Tutoring Club.  She part of the Women of Excellence.  She was preceded in death by her son, Gary Welch, Jr and brother, Theodore Gibbs.  She is survived by her husband, Gary Welch; daugher, Nyshinka D. Welch; son, Eddie T. Welch; 3 sisters, Lona McTaggart, Eleanor Gibbs, Joette Smith; 8 brothers, Marlin Evans, Jerome Evans, Royce Evans, Marvin Gibbs, Henry Gibbs, Darryl Smith and Charles Delaughter.  Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Pinecrest Cemetery at 11:00 am.
