Mother Aran C. Riley was born May 16, 1938 in Wilson City, Alabama to Green and Mary Elmore.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Clay Riley; siblings: Larcenia Royal, Willie Nell Barrett, Willie James Elmore, Louis Elmore, John Lee Elmore, and Clementine Bell; granddaughter: Devona Strange.

She leaves to cherish so many wonderful memories; her sister, Cora Bell (Willie); three daughters: Gwendolyn Claitt, Barbara Hipps (Terry) and Connie Williams; two adopted children: Gerald Snell and Yolanda Snell; grandchildren: Danette Strange, Craig Strange (Lantesha), Joseph Johnson Jr. (Dena), Andrea Welch (Brian), Shekita Lockett (Edrick) and Mariah Claitt; 29 great grandchildren: Devaris Gordan (JoJo), Daneisha Zeeuw, Christian Zeeuw, Marquel Walton, Imari McCarty, Deondre Strange, Gwendolyn Strange, D'Seanna Strange, Ahmaya Strange, Maurice Morten, Jasmine Morten, Jada Morten, Shanteria Johnson, Shantavia Johnson, Jasmine Johnson, Lailah Johnson, Jaylyn Bliss, Irihanna Scott, Jamaree Welch, Brianna Welch, Ekeira Lockett, Emari Lockett, Emaijah Lockett, Emerald Lockett, Emrick Lockett, Jatasha Wingate and Nyle Hipps; two great great grands: Demi Gordan and Brielle Roberts; four generations of whom she was proud and blessed to have.
