Andy "Buddy" Theodore Ellis, Jr., 67, of Avon Park, passed away on Sunday afternoon, April 7, 2019 at Advent Health Sebring.  A native of Cobden, IL he had lived in Florida over 40 years living in Avon Park for 25 of those.  Andy loved his family, enjoyed fishing, spending time outdoors and his vegetable garden.  He took things apart and fixed the things he could.  He is proceeded in death by his parents, Andy and Gladys (Gibson) Ellis, Sr., brothers, Billy, Kenny, Donnie and Charlie Ellis, and sisters, Jessie Jerald and Shirley Adams.   Andy is survived by his children, Rachel (Richard) Simon, Adam (Amber) Ellis and Tonya Thomas; four sisters, Margie Wright, Barbara Odom, Wanda (Bill) Beal, and Donna Smithley; brother, Larry Ellis; nine grandchildren, Jeremiah, Alexis, Caleb, Kahlen, William, McKenzie, Maverick, Alyssa and Allen; one great granddaughter, Avery and numerous nieces and nephew.  A memorial service will be held on Wednesday afternoon, April 10, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. at Fountain Funeral Home.
